Broadway Melody of 1936
1935 Nominee
100 Words
Rascal Keeler is writing all kind of nonsense in his column again and a couple of socks to various body parts don’t seem to keep his pen from wagging. Meanwhile, big shot Bob doesn’t take his high school sweetheart Irene seriously when she wants her own big shot. Lucy for this lucky star, she makes a friend everywhere she goes and when it comes to Broadway, who you know knows best. A chance encounter with a cigar brand could be the false identification sensation that Irene and her entourage need, as long as Keeler can keep the story to himself.
