Going My Way

Bing Crosby is the same fellow who sings all those Christmas songs of yore, and you’re sure to fall in love with his voice, if not his St. Louis-hailing priest in this film. Musical, whimsical, and calm in the face of a War-stricken country, Going My Way keeps faith blazing (literally, actually that part is pretty terrible) during a time when the people of many countries needed something solid to stand upon. Though I don’t frequent churches (it’s me, a heathen), I found this one to be uplifting and the characters left their mark long after the screen went dark.
