12 Angry Men
1957 Nominee
100 Words
A group of twelve men must decide the fate of a kid accused of murder. One of them sounds like Winnie the Pooh’s best friend (because he is and it is delightful and distracting). One juror remains steadfast in his conviction that the kid might not be guilty. Can a reasonable doubt be obtained, he wonders. One by one, the jurors consider his arguments about the murder weapon, the medical state of a witness, the timeline posited by the prosecution. As the men become riled over plans for baseball games and estranged sons, a crossover of personal and professional occurs.
