Roamin’ Off

Nicholas and Alexandra
1971 Nominee

100 Words
The best version of the disappearing Duchess is still that one animated version where Meg Ryan is the voice of Anastasia (look it up). Anyway, the duchess doesn’t disappear in this one.

Bilbo Baggins shows up in the last hour of a three-hour tale (one for every hundred years that the Romanovs held power in Russia).

Rasputin is also there and in this one, it doesn’t take quite so many tries to kill him as the tales would have us all believe – gotta say, disappointing on that front.

The Russian government has come almost as far as the American one.

Thanks for the Meg Ryan goto; will do… as for R’putin’s finale, we shall lean to Boney M and wish the same trump card on minus the R, along w/ puppet pinocchio

Yes, another long one. I remember two things as I was so young: the little boy in the movie bled. Then, they were all corralled into a room for that terrifying photo ‘shoot’ – it was not a ‘blast’ for me!
