Family Business

The Godfather
1972 Best Picture

100 Words
The mafia phenomenon started here, with a film about a family tied together by crime connections. The dark horse of the family – Michael, the youngest – struggles to avoid entering the family business until its patriarch is severely injured. The two older brothers – Santino and Fredo, whose name just makes me think of pasta and then I’m hungry for the whole movie – attempt to keep the rest of the details together, but it’s clear from Michael’s first introduction with THE Diane Keaton at Connie’s wedding that this kid is the real deal.

There’s a lot going on behind Al Pacino’s eyes.
