This is icky.

It doesn’t help the plot that the director allegedly assaulted an underage girl after his pregnant wife was murdered by the Manson family. He’s also in the movie wielding a knife, which is a shock to the system.

There’s no watering down the level of nastiness that can inhabit Los Angeles, even when there is actual water involved. People keep getting murdered over this whole water situation. Private investigator Jake keeps suspicion on tap as he looks into a man and his mistress, a job created by a woman pretending to be someone else.
