Like M*A*S*H, there isn’t one narrative, just small glimpses inside of windows wafting out country tunes. Between songs about the sweetness of a simple life at home, a van associated with a political candidate blares opinionated commentary through the town. Local singer Barbara Jean can’t stop collapsing and an aspiring singer gets more attention below the waist than she does for her off-key lilting. There’s a guy named Tom who admits that he’s easy – so easy that he’s slept with half the women at the show, as a matter of fact. And M*A*S*H man himself Elliot Gould makes a visit.
