A Star is Born

42nd Street
1932 Nominee

100 Words
Life on Broadway is fast-paced and learning the steps is even faster when you have a show to put on and a heart attack to stave off and a dame whose boyfriend is tired of sneaking around and whose paycheck comes from a real creep. Peggy takes the stage after she gets eliminated because the show is short a girl. Ginger Rogers is there. It’s a show within a show and it’s a spectacle to boot; just make sure you don’t boot your beaux’s lover out the door or you may be in a boot, a cast, or on crutches.

I can’t believe you didn’t pick this wildly (still) famous movie with – GINGER ROGERS! Guess that means I’ll have to watch ‘Cavalcade’ to see how this one got beat!
