Keep Your Spirits Up

Smilin’ Through

This title is definitely sarcastic and I therefore approve. A lonely man regularly chats with the ghost of his dead wife and when circumstance makes him a parent, he is chagrined when the grown woman he raised falls for the son of the man who murdered his wife (you know, the ghost). Multiple parts played by multiple talented actors and a pile of World War I casualties makes for a family drama turned romance for the ages. Let’s hope that Kathleen’s Uncle has a change of heart and that war hasn’t had any lasting effects on her lover’s ability to…love.

My reaction to this one: ouch… and wondering how I would “feel” walking out of the theatre afterward…

    So, WELL done w/ just 100… :)

Really? What a story; I will look this up; wondering if this was an original or an adapted screenplay. So curious about the writer’s journey to this saga, and THE END.
