The House of Rothschild
1934 Nominee
100 Words
In Prussia way back when, the brothers Rothschild gathered around their father and were tasked with banking in all of the major capitols. Napoleon’s antics make the brothers frantic while funding the war effort and funding their Jewish standing in an anti-Semitic world. Nathan (some call him Dizzy) is chagrined when his daughter’s heart is captured by a captain whose intentions are questioned. The pair’s lovemaking is met with dissension by the patriarch whose arch-nemesis is played by a monster of Franksentein fame. If love and money are the game, this house might be able to stand on its own.
