Dancing Around the Obvious

Top Hat
1935 Nominee

100 Words
Fred and Ginger are at it again! All those puns and no real talk of what’s really going on here…Ginger as Dale determines that Fred as Adam must be her best friend’s husband. This is after Adam’s tap-dancing keeps her up at night and then changes his tune – of his feet, that is – to a shuffle lullaby for this lady who caught his eye. Bates the stalker steals the show, and everywhere he goes something silly happens. Horace is the man at the center of the drama, but even his wife Madge gets confused along the way to the conclusion.

Maybe just watch the dance sequences on YouTube. My trivia contribution: Two word movie titles that begin with ‘Top’. Top Hat; Top Banana; Top Secret; Top Gun; Top Cat, Top Dog, Top Five. How many will appear on this blog?
