Growing Up Adverse

Anthony Adverse
1936 Nominee

100 Words
Baby Anthony is dropped on the doorstep of the sisters, the product of an illicit affair discovered by a jealous Marquis. Growing up under spiritual guides and possibly his grandfather, the adult Tony vies for the love of Angela (Olivia de Havilland, no relation to yours truly unless it makes you respect me more as a writer). Luck doesn’t seem to side with love in this one, as wind blows away correspondence at crucial times. Anthony spends time dealing slaves in Africa before returning home to find Angela involved with a little one, and will this match then be undone?

Your writing IS respected, regardless! So is Olivia de Havilland: my spark as is Errol Flynn for you:)

“Dealing slaves”? I gotta check on this one! Thanks for the homework…

How dare Olivia star in movie Errol’s not in. How could I vote for this flick?
