Robbing the Rich, Stealing My Heart

The Adventures of Robin Hood
1938 Nominee

100 Words
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Angela Jane and she had trouble falling asleep. Her Dad (the greatest Dad who has ever graced Sherwood Forest or any other) would stay awake at night with Angela Jane and in place of singing a lullaby, the two would watch The Adventures of Robin Hood. The little girl grew up with a love of Errol Flynn and an enduring rapture for films. A poster from the film The Adventures of Robin Hood now graces her apartment. I hope you liked that story, Readers, because every word of it is true.

Those were the days. My stories of watching Errol Flynn in The Adventures of Robin Hood weren’t quite as remarkable as yours, but they were just as as memorable.
