One Ann, Two Ann, Three Ann, Four

Four Daughters
1938 Nominee

100 Words
Are there four daughters in this story? It seems as though Ann gets the whole spotlight, with a sprinkle of, um, the other three in the middle. What are their names again? Is it all Ann? Mickey is so fine he blows Ann’s mind and he gets in the way of a blooming love story (Is that other guy named Laurie? I think that might be a different movie, where the female fierceness is more evenly distributed among the characters). There’s music, singing, and oh yeah, Ann is the center of all the drama unless it comes to tying ties.
