Joe Some Body

Here Comes Mr. Jordan
1941 Nominee

100 Words
Are those the dulcet tones of a saxophone coming from that nosediving plane? Joe’s boxing body was “in the pink,” so if you think he’ll accept his cremation without making a stink, then you’ve got another think coming. Mr. Jordan and his bumbling assistant find Joe’s soul a whole new body, but when you’re surrounded by murderers, even a lovestruck Miss Logan can’t save you. A boxing body, or is the body a box? No matter, even if it’s the latter, Joe and Corkle have a fighting score to settle and you bet those odds could move Heaven and earth.

OMG! I’m just going to follow up on my comment from the 1941 B/pic nominee poster on ‘Blossoms in the Dust’ with – this poster is awful. The MC looks like a Jerry Lewis clown, not a fit boxer or a sexy sax player who is funny (vs silly). And the ‘riveting’ tag lines at the top? ‘Here come rich laughter! Here comes warm emotion!’ NOT.
