Ethics in Mental Health, featuring Ronald Reagan

Kings Row
1942 Nominee

100 Words
Did you know that President Ronald Reagan’s decision to cut funding for mental health treatment is partially to blame for our current mental health crisis, American Readers? It’s ironic given his role in this film as the doting friend of soon-to-be the first psychiatrist in the town of Kings Row. Ronald plays Drake and he does a good job of faking his way through his unfortunate circumstances while his friend studies in Vienna with those pioneers of psychiatry. Perhaps he was better at acting than at…other vocations. I digress though, I have to confess that the story was altogether gripping.

Apologies to the flickerverse, when it comes to even passed whitemaleGOPleaders who contributed to the current leadership, my story griping.

Agreed; too bad he didn’t stick to acting.
