Random Harvest
1942 Nominee
100 Words
I don’t have the foggiest idea what the title of the film means, and though the leads are superb, it’s a strange movie. A man plagued by his experience of the first World War struggles to maintain his memory when a young woman captures his heart and fills in his word bank – or word blanks – for him. After they’ve been married just long enough to be blissfully happy, he walks into traffic and promptly regains the first memory that he lost (still with me?) Then he gets pursued by a weirdo whose age is troubling and behavior even more so.
