It’s a Wonderful Life
1946 Nominee
100 Words
A Christmas classic that didn’t win the big prize?! I’ll have you know that the story of George Bailey growing up in a town called Bedford Falls, a town he hopes to leave only to discover that sometimes home is right where you left it, is one of my all-time favorites. In an effort to help an angel earn his wings, George lets Clarence show him what the world of Pottersville would be like if George was never born. The alternate title is my favorite line from the film, one I usually say in a bumbling impression of James Stewart.
