Humphrey Bogart is a Gold Digger

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
1948 Nominee

100 Words
A duo of daring, desperate (read: broke) men decide to follow Howard into the hills to search for gold. Dobbs and Curtin scoff at the prospect that prospecting might be a cursed sport, but as soon as they discover the sandy grains of the good stuff, their luck loses its luster. A group of bandits might be the least of the worrisome obstacles that come their way, though Howard knows how to take it all in stride. Watching Humphrey Bogart lose his mind in the desert and succumb to the paranoid plague of protecting unearthed riches is worth every minute.
