A Woman’s Constitution

Born Yesterday
1950 Nominee

100 Words
This post goes up the day after my birthday, which means that I was, in fact, Born Yesterday.
Billie is stupid and she likes it, but her brute of a boyfriend, Mr. Brock, doesn’t like it very much. He enlists the help of a tutor who I spotted somewhere along Sunset Boulevard.
I saw this movie for the first time in a film class in high school and then, as now, was charmed by Judy Holliday. It’s no wonder she snagged the man – golden and otherwise. Meanwhile, the other man is Willie Stark and he’s raving in this one, too.

One of the few ‘really good’ movies, where I enjoyed a remake too! Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, with ‘really good’ chemistry, they didn’t have to ‘act’ on.
