I Sat Through Three Hours Just to Find Out How to Pronounce the Title

Quo Vadis
1951 Nominee

100 Words
When in Rome, explore the strange fascination of the 1950s with Roman culture and question your favorite late actors’ sexualities while they saunter through sweeping sound stages wearing tiny togas. I’m not here to kink shame; I am here to watch this ham pretend he’s Nero while his city burns.

He reminds me of someone.

There is no chemistry between the leads, but at least the colors are pretty. It’s about the spread of Christianity in Rome and how this (partially) led to Rome’s fall. The fire didn’t help.

The title is Latin. I believe it translates to, “Boring Movie.”

the spread of the fire did a hell of a lot less damage than did/does the spread of christianity

… so, diacritical marks so we don’t have to sit through it… 🙂
