The Seven Mrs. Weasleys

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
1954 Nominee

100 Words
The brothers all have red hair and if that doesn’t remind you of the Weasleys, congratulations on your normal childhood. This move is unhinged and unhitched. The eldest brother Adam breaks into song about looking for a wife while in town and selects one suitable, only to reveal to her once they are completely removed from civilization that he has six other brothers and that she is now responsible for everyone.

Luckily, the brothers are open to constructive feedback about their manners and they are also open to the idea of kidnapping and taking hostages to get their own wives.

I don’t think this was a movie you saw – I think it was harrowing nightmare. Red hair, kidnapping, the number 7 … the devil made Hollywood do this?
