The Lost Boy

Alfie
1966 Nominee

100 Words
He’s in Neverland, he is – and I don’t mean the sinister ranch created by that weirdo. I mean, he’s a Brit trapped in his boyhood, but obsessed with proving his manhood. Know what I mean? Anyone on the dating scene has experienced a brush with a weasel like this one – charms everyone around them and then can’t understand why they can’t keep someone around.

Although he’s a bit of a jerk, it does jerk at your heartstrings, this one. It’s a brutally honest portrait of a person who refused to grow up and then got abandoned as everyone else did.

twisted boy brains, regardless their vessel or face… Earth’s scourge

twisted boys’ brains in older bodies: in the running to win the trophy for causing the most suffering and death of OTHERs, than any other nervous system

tbb -inherited, taught, memed, role modeled, awfully contagious- deadly to innocent life

I snuck into the movie theatre to see this when I was very young. My mom wasn’t happy, because she said I wasn’t old enough to see it – and she was right. I didn’t understand what es – ee – ex was yet, but I knew he was a scoundrel who hurt these women, and of course, I’d never seen anything like the movie. Michael Caine stole my heart, and the song was amazing. FYI: the remake years later with Jude Law is disappointing.
