Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
1969 Nominee
100 Words
Besides being a looker, Robert Redford was pretty exciting to watch. Tag along Etta (I guess it didn’t work out with her and Ben Braddock) and there’s a pretty irresistible trio making magic on the screen. Risky business like telling the story purely through old-timey photographs with catchy background music only make the experience more enticing.
I’ve mentioned not really liking Westerns and the like before, but this one proved me dead wrong. I’d gladly watch it again right this minute.
Meanwhile, Redford went on to create the Sundance Film Festival, christened after the character in this damn good movie.
