Deliverance
1972 Nominee
100 Words
A group of guys dressed inappropriately for hiking decide to take on a massive river. Something is amiss right away when a local and a city boy duel with their banjos.
All I could think about for the majority of this disgusting movie is how when I was a child, my family and I took a canoe excursion that turned into a nightmare. It’s not important whose idea this was (my mother’s), only that I believe that this early childhood memory is what caused my father’s stroke so many years later. He’s completely fine, but none of us likes camping.
