It’s Always Sonny

Dog Day Afternoon
1975 Nominee

100 Words
I saw this movie as a teenager right around when I decided that I was madly in love with movies. Early Pacino is the best Pacino (even when he is yelling, which is often).

Teamed up again with his brother Fredo, he plays a guy who actually robbed a bank and ended up in hostage negotiations while becoming an advocate for LGBTQ+ community.

In the meantime, his partner Sal makes an eerie statement about refraining from smoking cigarettes just a few years prior to John Cazale acquiring a terminal lung cancer diagnosis.

Despite the heat, it’s a spooky, tense ride.

Damn, another amazing movie with Al and his pals – real-life and on-screen.
