High Five Again: I Bet a Nickel

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
1975 Best Picture

100 Words
This is the second time (of so far three times) that the Big Five were achieved by a single movie.

While the conversation about mental health has turned down some dark and often downright misleading paths over the years, movies like this one started the conversation in the first place – a conversation that needs to continue. The cast, composed masterfully of men that would go on to earn their names in familiar films, handles the issue of men’s mental health (part of the conversation that isn’t getting quite enough attention yet) with delicacy and care.

I love this like crazy.

There wasn’t one flaw in this movie. Every member of the cast and crew deserved an Oscar.
