The Horror

Apocalypse Now
1979 Nominee

100 Words
This movie was an arduous journey to make and even if you take that into consideration, it still didn’t take home the Gold. It’s long, but worthwhile, unlike some of its predecessors.

When you put a man on a mission, you give him permission to get completely obsessed with getting the job done. Even when the outcome is death, it’s best to disconnect to come correct to the end of the world.

The disturbing conduct of men in combat is peeled back to reveal just how horrific war is, especially when the ones fighting it are also fighting with themselves.
