The Diary of Anne Frank
1959 Nominee
100 Words
The diary of a young girl who lived cloistered away with her family and another during World War II was left behind when the family was seized by the Nazis. I thought I knew the story, but I didn’t understand the magic of a little girl’s little world unfolding while unimaginable horrors happened all around her.

I think it all matters.
